Introduction

Today you will show and describe forces that act on things, both when the things touch and when they do not. A force is a push or a pull. Every force is one or the other. When you kick a soccer ball, your foot pushes it. When you open a drawer, your hand pulls it. Your foot touches the ball. Your hand touches the drawer. These forces act in contact. They work only while the objects touch.
