By the end of this lesson, you will add, subtract, multiply, and divide rational numbers, including negative fractions and decimals, to solve real problems. A rational number is any number you can write as a fraction of two integers, such as 3/4, -7, 2.5, or 1/3. Everything you know about whole number operations still works; you just carry the signs along.
