Analyzing Texas History

To analyze a source means to organize facts and figure out what they mean. Historians use tools like chronology, categorizing, cause and effect, comparing, contrasting, main idea, summarizing, generalizing, predicting, inferring, and concluding. This lesson uses the Texas Revolution of 1836 to practice each tool.
