Nets and Surface Area
You will learn to find the lateral and total surface area of rectangular prisms, triangular prisms, rectangular pyramids, and triangular pyramids using nets. A net is a flat drawing of every face of a solid, unfolded like a cardboard box pressed open. Lateral area covers only the sides; total area includes the bases too.
